The U.S. Federal Reserve is widely expected to cut interest rates again, while the Securities and Exchange Commission prepares to issue long-awaited rulings on 16 new cryptocurrency ETF applications, and Mike Maloney, CEO and founder of Insight, told Newsmax that these changes could accelerate mainstream adoption of digital assets.
“The ETFs unlocking is a huge dramatic change,” Maloney said on Newsmax’s “National Report.” “We are looking at 270 days before. Now it’s going to be cut down to 75 days or less.”
He explained that investors should expect a wave of new market products, from Grayscale’s large-cap fund to Ethereum staking and other yield-generating strategies.
Maloney emphasized the regulatory decisions could expand access for smaller crypto assets that remain out of reach on traditional exchanges. “Look for investments that are going to generate productive assets,” he advised.
Turning to payments, Maloney highlighted Visa’s recent move to enable stablecoin transactions.
“Stablecoins are the nuclear moment for cryptocurrency,” he said. “If anybody is asking if cryptocurrency is actually valid and viable, look no further than U.S. dollar tether, U.S. dollar coin — even the president’s own world USD one.”
“These things are going to be huge and going to transform capital markets,” Maloney added. “Visa and others getting into the play just means that crypto, after 14 years of being pushed back, finally won. They’re taking the lead and, quite frankly, all money will be crypto soon.”
On meme assets, Maloney shared his long history with Dogecoin.
“I bought my first Dogecoin when it was tenths of a cent, and I bought it to contribute to the Jamaican bobsled team,” he recalled.
While noting that Dogecoin has “lost a lot of that whimsical value,” Maloney said it still dominates the meme marketplace in a way Bitcoin and Ethereum cannot.
“What we’re going to see here is more meme coins, but it’s only the good memes that are going to live,” Maloney said. “Don’t expect anything silly down the list, only those that have really proven themselves. And that’s Doge.”
